Mobile Phone Generation

Telecommunication and networking have always been a core technology that helps in the evolution of humanity and technology. If these mobile generations had not progressed then today we would not be taking advantage of its facilities like many channels like 3G, 4G technology, speed internet, etc.

In the technology of mobile generations that is used in your cell phones and other mobile devices, it has evolved much in the past few years. This technology started with the revolutionary 1G (which is also considered the earliest form of voice only network) and has reached this level of 4G today and in the coming times, we will also use 5G technology.

Here it comes out that after all these technologies have such principles in the technology, and what such changes have been brought, the type of these generations? So today I thought about why you should give people all the information about the mobile generation and the technology used in it so that you can easily understand it. Together you can also tell it to someone else. Let's start without delay and know what is Mobile Generations?

What is Mobile Phone Generation?

If we understand the significance of Mobile Generations, then we can call it a series of such generations which is being upgraded every 10 years. Where it started with 1G (first generation), there were so many changes in it, and we got lots of troubles like 2G, 2.5G, 3G but everyone upgraded and they got converted into another. Right now we use 4G technology, but do you know the meaning of this G? If not then there is nothing to worry about, because we will understand this in a more complete way.

Often people do not know anything about this 'G'. They just use it because it is brought to it by everyone. The correct meaning of 'G' is "Generation", for example, the Third Generation of 3G means, 4G means Fourth Generation. In this, this number is simply a representation, the evolution of technology. Just as new technology has been invented, the generation of technology has also increased. If we talk about it now, we are now using the 4th generation of wireless communication technology. By the way, this technology was introduced from 1G and over time it grew, 2G, 3G, 4G are all later technologies.

Most wireless carriers are currently supporting both 4G and 3G technology, which is quite handy, therefore, where there is no coverage of 4G, 3G speed can work as well. If we put a little vision in the past, 1G was first introduced in 1979, since then every 10 years a new mobile generation has been released. All of these technologies are used in mobile carriers and devices. According to Generation, they have different speeds and features which become increasingly wise. 5G will be launched in the coming time.

Each Generation has a few different telephonic network standards, which reflects the technological implementation used in a particular mobile phone system. As speed increases, by the way, that technology has to be changed to achieve that speed.

For example, 1G offers 2.4 kbps, 2G offers 64 Kbps in GSM Technology, 3G offers 144 kbps to 2 Mbps and 4G offers 100 Gbps from 100 Mbps and which is based on LTE technology. Along with the way advancement in technology, there are many new features also seen in the new generation, because ultimately the main purpose of wireless communication is to provide high quality, reliable communication.

Who discovered Wireless Technology?

Wireless Technology was invented by Guglielmo Marconi and Karl Ferdinand Braun in 1894. He was awarded the Nobel prize in Physics in 1909, to contribute to the field of Wireless Telegraphy.

Types of Mobile Generation

Here we will all know about the types of Mobile Generations and how it changes. Then let's know about the types of Mobile Generations.

1G: Voice Only

It is also called First Generation Wireless Technologies. Along with this, it only supports Voice Calls only. It was introduced for the first time in 1979. 1G is analog technology, and the phones used in it have very poor battery life and voice quality. Apart from this, it is not much secure and the inconveniences of call drop are repeated in it.

Let's know about 1G Technology:

a)1G technology uses FDMA for different subscribers, in a single channel by a single user.

b) The maximum speed of 1G technology is 2.4 kbps.

c) Voice quality is very low and it greatly influences noise.

It only supports voice calls, not data.

d) Mobile handset batteries offer very little backup.

e) In this system, the volume is modulated to higher frequency up to 150 MHz or more.

f) It is a bit costly as it only supports 1 subscriber per carrier, for which very little support is available in a tower.

2G: SMS and MMS

Cell phones got a new and first major upgrade when their technology upgraded from 1G to 2G. This change was first made in Finland in 1991, also in GSM networks and after that, the technology of cell phones has changed from analog to digital communications.

This new 2G telephone technology includes call and text encryption, along with data services such as SMS, picture messages, and MMS. By the way, 2G completely replaced the 1G, and along with it also supported the rest of the technologies, but still in very few places this technology is still used.

Let's know something about 2G Technology: -

a) Digital signals are used in 2G.

b) It can go up to data speed up to 64Kbps.

c) There are many services like SMS, Picture message and MMS enabled.

d) In comparison to 1G, it provides better quality and quantity.

e) 2G needs strong digital signals to work properly, otherwise, it can not work properly.

f) This system can not handle complex data like videos.

2.5G: Data

Before 2G and the arrival of 3G, new technology was introduced which was named 2.5G. It is a technology that comes within 2G and 3G technology. Sometimes 2.5G is also called 2G Cellular Technology which has been combined with GPRS.

A new packet-switching technique was introduced in 2.5G, which was much more efficient than 2G technology. Then came 2.75G, which provided a theoretical threefold speed increase. AT & T was the first GSM network to support the 2.75G EDGE in the US.

Let's know something about 2.5G Technology:

a) It has call facility.

b) In it, you can send and receive e-mail messages.

c) In Web Browsing, you can do it.

d) Its speed is 64-144 Kbps.

3G: More Data, Video Calling, and Mobile Internet

The third generation of 3G means that the start of mobile technology was in 1998. This has led to a considerable increase in data-transmission speeds. People used it in more data-demanding things such as video calling and mobile internet access. The term "mobile broadband" was first made for 3G cellular technology.

Like 2G, 3G has also been evolving into 3.5G and 3.75G in which more features were introduced. Its maximum speed is around 2 Mbps for non-moving devices and for 384 Kbps moving vehicles.

This is a huge revolution from the point of view of Technology Advancement for network and data transmission. 3G's speed capabilities range up to 2 Mbps. With this help, you can do faster communication, send/receive large emails and texts, fast web browsing, video streaming, etc. on smartphones.

Let's know something about 3G technology

a) Provides much better Faster Communication

b) Can easily send and receive large email messages.

c) It provides high-speed web.

d) This provides more protection than 2G.

e) In it, you can easily play video conferencing and 3D Games.

f) TV Streaming / Mobile TV / Call etc.

g) It also has large capacities and broadband capabilities.

h) Its download speed is very good compared to 2G.

4G: Now's Standard

4G means the fourth generation of mobile networking. It had been developed in 2000 only but it has been used since 2008. It supports mobile web access as 3G does and it also supports gaming services, HD mobile TV, video conferencing, 3D TV, and many features that require high speed.

The maximum speed that 4G network supports is 100 Mbps. At 1 Gbps, the speed can be found in low-mobility communication when the caller is stationary. In most current cell phone models, it supports both 4G and 3G technologies.

Let's know something about 4G Technology

a) It is also called Mobile Broadband.

b) A term that describes it better is 'MAGIC'. Where M means Mobile Multimedia, A means Anytime Anywhere, G stands for Global Mobility Support, I means Integrated Wireless Solution, C means Customized Personal Services.

c) It has high data rates and expanded multimedia services.

d) Speed can range from 100Mbps to 1Gbps.

e) It also has more speed, more capacity, and more security.

5G: to come

5G stands for Fifth Generation This is a wireless technology that has not been implemented yet and it has been improved more than 4G. It is likely to start in 2020.

In 5G, we can see many major improvements, such as faster data rates, higher connection density, which has less latency, and energy savings. Speeds of speed can be achieved by up to 20 Gbps.

Let's know about 5G Technology

a) In this, we will get High Speed and High Capacity.

b) There will also be more broadcasting of data in it.

c) We can see Multi-Media in High Definitions.

d) It will get faster data transmission in comparison to earlier generations.

e) Large phone memory, dialing speed and the clarity of audio/video will show up.

f) These features, such as interactive multimedia, voice, streaming video, and the internet, etc. will be seen.

The Feature of Mobile Generations

Over the past few years, there has been a lot of advancement in the field of Mobile Practices. There has also been a considerable change in its development and its core functionality. The way in which it has developed so much, it shows that there is still more progress in this field in the coming time.

The technology of 5G will be ready in just a few years now. In the coming future, this will change the entire definition of Wireless Network Technology. There are many such features coming in, which will not only be useful to us but also change our lifestyle. For this, we have to wait till that time when it will completely change our lives.
