Infinix Hot 7 Pro Review: Powerful battery and RAM available in the range of 10,000

In the budget segment smartphone Infinix Hot 7 Pro launched by Infinix company, users will get 6GB RAM, 4000mAh battery, dual rear camera and dual selfie camera...

Infinix has recently launched some of its smartphones in the Indian market, providing users with a low-cost premium specification experience, and the company's first phone, Infinix S4, is a great device in this category with triple rear camera setups below Rs 10,000.

The company launched the new smartphone Infinix Hot7 Pro in June 2019 under budget constraints. The main feature of this phone is that you will get a waterdrop notch design, 6 GB RAM and 4,000 mAh battery. This phone is priced at Rs 9,999 and is available for sale on ecommerce site Flipkart.

Let's find out how powerful Infinix Hot 7 Pro is in terms of features and specifications?

Talking about the design of Infinix Hot7 Pro, this phone is quite similar to Infinix S4. The phone is quite light in weight and very comfortable to hold in hand. The phone weighs just 158 grams. But because of the slick body in the phone, there is fear of slipping by hand. In this case, it is better to use it with a back cover.

Dual selfie camera and secondary LED flash are provided on the front of the phone. On the right side are the Power on/off and Volume buttons. Simultaneously, the triple SIM slot is provided on the left side of the phone. The speaker grill, mic, 3.5mm headphone jack and micro USB charging port are at the bottom. The back of the phone is of a very simple design and has a dual camera setup in vertical shape on the top left as well as an LED flash. At the same time, there is a fingerprint sensor for protection at the center, below it Infinix branding.

This type of design is expected in budget range smartphones and although it is a plastic body, it is good in terms of design.

Infinix Hot 7 Pro has a HD+ 6.19 inch display, whose screen resolution is 720×1500 pixels. The display comes with an aspect ratio of 19: 9 and its density is 269 PPI. The display is good in terms of color reproduction and the display content is better seen at full brightness in outdoor lighting. The viewing angle of the display will be liked by the users, you can enjoy a great experience of movie, video and gaming.

Performance and software

The Infinix Hot 7 Pro smartphone works on an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor with 2GHz clock speed and its a good thing. It has 6GB of RAM, which is not seen of this budget, and is capable of managing heavy multitasking. The phone has 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB with the help of microSD card.

The phone's processor manages multitasking but my experience in gaming was decent. I downloaded and played the PUBG and Indian Air Force game in it and during gaming I did not face any problems like lagging or slow down. The best part is that this phone does not heat up when playing games. The battery backup was also good.

Apart from this, the fingerprint sensor and face unlock features provided in the phone work well. Both unlock the phone at decent speed. Fingerprint scanner is secure but face unlock isn't secure.

Talking about the software of Infinix Hot 7 Pro, this phone is based on Android 9 Pie and has a custom skin XOS, which developed by the company itself. The company says that it is AI based OS skin.

However, it has some flaws, which does not make it a perfect OS skin. This operating system comes loaded with bloatwares i.e. unwanted apps. However, a good thing can be said in this that users can disable or uninstall some bloatware as per their convenience.

Now let's talk about my experience with the Infinix Hot 7Pro camera. Before buying a phone, users focus on learning about the camera and the quality of the camera.

The company has used dual rear and dual front cameras on the phone. Both cameras have a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Speaking of camera performance, both front and rear setups are capable of delivering decent performance. But the quality of the camera is not as good as I was expecting. In daylight, the phone can click on a good color image. But the quality is lacking in sharpness. Also the bokeh mode provided on the phone also failed to properly blur the background.

At the same time, the Hot7 Pro has the benefit of recording video in Full HD (1080p) but lacks the EIS on video which frustrates users. If you record a video while walking, the video is quite unstable that doesn't look good.

The Infinix Hot 7 Pro has a 4,000mAh capacity battery for power backup. Which is able to give users a full day of backup during normal usage. After charging the phone once, I enjoyed gaming along with normal usage in it and during this time the battery of the phone run smoothly throughout the day. I also did not face the problem of repeated charging. Although I used gaming, music, social media such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger etc. in the phone. In this case, the battery lasted throughout the day and by evening I had to charge it again. Overall battery backup can be said to be satisfactory.

Final Verdict

If I talk about the final decision after using Infinix Hot 7 Pro, then I can say that this phone can be a better option in the budget range. The battery provided in the phone provides a good backup.
At the same time, it is also very strong in terms of performance. The 6GB RAM provided in the phone gives a great feeling of multitasking. In this case, there is no problem of lag in it.

In addition, the camera quality of the phone is also able to provide users with a decent photography experience. The battery included in it gives you good battery backup, but at the moment some other smartphones in the budget segment can give you more powerful battery as well as stronger performance and better camera quality.
